Room 11 is a sole trader business operated by Julia-Eve Chew Perez (trading as “ROOM 11”; “we”, “us”), publishing essays, media and personal development content and selling courses at room11.app. Julia-Eve Chew Perez is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have a question about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@room11.app.
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your email address with advertisers.
Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and restricted access to our systems.
We keep your email address until you ask us to remove it, or until we stop publishing. Order and transaction records are kept for as long as required by accounting and tax law (typically 6–7 years). Analytics data is retained in aggregate form only. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing us. Depending on where you live — including the EU/UK under GDPR, and California under CCPA/CPRA — you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@room11.app and we will action it.
The site uses a small amount of storage that is necessary for it to work, plus optional analytics. You are asked for consent before non-essential analytics is enabled, and you can decline without losing access to any content.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
